El Mariachi – Future
Ukrainian artist, El Mariachi is back with another two track EP on Gut Feel Records. Both Cruel Future and Stereophonic are deep, twisted and layered with grooving rhythm.
Dark edged right from the start, Cruel Future continuously builds upon it’s twisted techno bed. Unexpected sounds rear their heads keeping you on your toes before a wonderful melody lightens things up a bit. Smoothly flowing from dark and light and back again, layered with interesting percussive sounds, Cruel Future is full of excitement. Stereophonic is a deeper trip. Twisting and turning, never failing to subtly surprise, Stereophonic is oh so groovy. Again El Mariachi toys with different percussive sounds while acid lines and a rather spooky vocal swoop around the driving rhythm. In 2010 El Mariachi’s track titled Funky Riff received an award for The Best Track In Ukraine 2010 in the house music genre and his recent signings to Young Society, Proton, Four Peas, Romanto, 90Watts, Deep Control and more labels, have received support and plays from Laurent Garnier, Joris Voorn, Mark Henning, Pig & Dan, Lauhas, Tim Green, Ryan Sullivan, The Cheapers, Martin Landsky, DJ Sneak, Luke Solomon, Audiofly, Kabuto & Koji and Pelle Buys amongst others. Sean Ray & Rob Nutek – Simulation Sensation
Sean Ray and Rob Nutek team up to bring you a rock solid package with Simulation Sensation. Both artists are well seasoned in the world of electronic dance music, having entertained audiences around the globe through their popular records on Looq, System Recordings, Baroque, Axis Trax, Rebeat, Babylon and more, as well as their electric trans-world dj performances. Packed with remixes for almost every flavor of electronic dance music, this release is something of a first for us at Gut Feel Records.
The original mix has a funky edge in it’s bouncy bass-line and rolls on a twisted tribal groove. Friendly female vocalizations keep things light hearted and fun in this floor friendly tech house winner.
The Buddhasteelbuddha Remix begins unsuspectingly but soon evolves into a pumping, grinding peak. A few stabs and vocal stings from the original mix are cleverly positioned around a fresh arrangement of synths and bass-lines, creating a sharp whip to crack at a dance-floor.
Mark Kane delivers a hard hitting tribal storm in his remix. Solid progressive/tribal/tech house music is the order of the day, which will no doubt cause many feet to stomp. It’s rather reminiscent of the sounds of Saeed & Palash, Piliavin & Zimbardo, Chus and Ceballos and the like.
Max Mason is a familiar name amongst dance music enthusiasts and he too has lent his ear to this already exciting release. His remix packs a serious punch and takes a more serious approach. It ebbs and flows with lush synths, bouncing groove and forever evolving atmosphere.
Small Town Zeros complete the set with their dirty, broken beat, dubstep remix. It winds, grinds, drops and explodes with bass fueled madness, all centered around a solid dubstep rhythm.
Relentless, bouncy, groovy, fun…this package has it.

2Drops – Ace E Move EP
Beautiful music, pounding beats and industrial percussion salsa around each other in this awesome two track offering from Israel’s 2Drops.
Ace E Move’s pounding beats and industrial percussion salsa around each other while a sneaky lead approaches to play with your emotion. Surprises lurk around every corner, bringing loads of joy which causes you to pull that face that says “Don’t talk to me now, I’m loving life!”
Pulsating bass rhythms, synthetic percussion, twisted riffs and a robotic voice come together harmoniously to form superb, energetic techno music. Music? Yes! Dance Mutha Fucka is crafted around an absolutely beautiful musical lead, generating grand, film-score-like tension. Then it bowls you over with an unyielding drum groove.

SVY & Mainer – Route 133Q
SVY and Mainer drop their first collaborative release with an absolute winner, combining their two most cherished musical styles in the Route 133Q EP.
SVY and Mainer are two Dj/producers from Chernivtsi city in Ukraine who both share a profound love for deep, progressive house and techno. Their first release was in the form of their highly acclaimed, individual remixes of Galan’s techno whopper, Distortion Steam, which was released on the Dutch label, Magnetic United in mid 2010.
SVY and Mainer now drop their first collaborative release with an absolute winner, combining their two most cherished musical styles in the Route 133Q EP.
Route is a deep, tech house/techno groover with none of the plinky plonk that’s become so common in techno music today. A simple yet solid rhythm perfectly complements the bass line with subtle builds, keeping the dance floor firmly on the rails and taking its passengers on a one way trip to the beat-abyss.
133Q delves a little deeper into the progressive house world, throwing dub styled chords around a four to the floor groove, chilled but danceable¿somewhat reminiscent
of Swayzak.

Steve Clarke – Waterboy
Waterboy is a relentless, dark and twisty, positive bender that’s as organic as a toaster.
Steve Clarke started dance music production at the impressionable age of 16. This part-time hobby absorbed his love of technology and computers, taking over from the former love of code programming these electronic beasties.
A month past his exit of the schooling system, Steve immediately commenced a managerial position at a local record shop and so began his 5 year adventure in the
South African clubbing scene. From ages 19 to 23 he held residencies at 3 of Johannesburg’s largest clubs namely Hideout, Stonewater and Evolution playing guest slots at many other major venues and underground parties around the Johannesburg clubbing scene, including the legendary Subterrain warehouse parties.
Throughout his DJing career he continued to produce; distributing albums and singles to his comrades in the local fraternity, merely as a personal venture and never for
commercial release, citing: “Give it to anyone who’ll listen”.
Now back in South Africa – post his 2006 travels where he moved to the UK for 2 years – Steve works professionally in the Audio Industry; occasionally distributing these gems to “Anyone who’ll listen”.
Waterboy’ is benchmark in this documentary. It’s disgusting, positive vocals leave you questioning their intent, while the four different leads backup the nefarious groove leaving it free to grind bestially with the kick like a ballet in the mud.
“Ever really here was written to fill a gap in my set”, says Steve.
`Every really here’ is a slower, more innocent tale of misplaced love, children with no parents and narcotic-destroyed homes. It’s halfway through intro leading to a minimal climax sets the scene for ANYTHING that follows it, leaving an entranced, questionable tone that can be pedicured into any style of dirty, toe-nail soup the sick little proprietor chooses.

Wholesome Goodness – Truth & Inspiration EP
Wholesome Goodness is back with a minimalistic tech house EP consisting of two tripped out, stripped back pieces. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Wholesome Goodness remix but this is actually the first original release from the somewhat mysterious artist.
Don’t Wake Them is a fitting title when understanding what this deep, tribal track does to a dance floor. It is complimented by They Call Me Mr, another deep and
tribal piece with serious groove to it and peaks with subtle melodic percussion. The EP is completed with a rhythmic DJ tool taken from They Call Me Mr.
The trance inducing effect of this EP is simply beautiful. It’s all about groove and subtlety.

Ryan Sullivan – We Are Responsible
We Are Responsible is the first from Ryan Sullivan for 2009 and it’s a mature piece of progressive house come techno.
The Original Mix and Ryan’s SLVN Remix are the two mixes completing the package. The original will please the prog fans with its tough yet slightly musical sound and bouncing chords while the SLVN Remix boasts a harder groove with grinding rhythms and a gentle rolling techno feel.

Ryan Sullivan – She Hates Techno
She Hates Techno is yet another monster two track EP from South Africa’s rising ranks artist Ryan Sullivan.
The track wastes no time getting to the point with its vibey groove and bass line combo showing face at a welcoming pace. Stabbing chords blurt out a catchy riff reminding me of dance days gone by just before the breakdown is introduced by a female vocal which swirls in and out of tune creating ample suspense followed by a bit of a ‘hands in the air’ moment. Take it Back is a much simpler chugger with a darker, broody feel. A great track to back-up what I would consider to be a definite winner on the South African dance floors, now let¿s see what this baby can do for the rest of the world.
Tracklist:
Ryan Sullivan – She Hates Techno
Ryan Sullivan – Take It Back
Ryan Sullivan – Min for Max EP
Label boss Ryan Sullivan is back with the follow up to his critically acclaimed We Are Responsible which received high praises from a diverse bunch of Djs, the likes of Dubfire, Joy Kitikonti, Sasha Le Monnier, Fady Ferraye, Robert Owens, Fred Numf, Thomas Penton, Darin Epsilon and many more.
Min Work showcases Ryan’s signature deep and tough sound. Complex drum grooves layered with solid bass line and melody work and topped with some mysterious sound
effects make for one of those rare tracks that work in peak time and more laid back settings alike.
On the flipside, we have Max Money rounding up this release with a heavier tribal techno sound. Again, interesting sound effects are sprinkled on top of a rock
solid, tribal techno groove. A chanting vocal and deep rolling bass line create the hook of the track while the rhythms drive the energy, perfect for those who like their
4/4 more upfront and peak time compatible!

Ryan Sullivan – Interviewee (incl Mandy’s Song)
Hot on the heels of his album, No One Will Ever Know on Triplefire Music, Ryan Sullivan is back again with a two track battering on Gut Feel Records. Both ‘Interviewee’ and ‘Mandy’s Song’ are surefire big room tracks that will set light to any dance floor and are another two good reasons to keep a close eye on this inexhaustible producers career.
Interviewee is a deep and dark, progressive/techno brooder and has seen support from Hernan Cattaneo, J&S Project, Jasper Williams, Helmut J and Hans Von Burg amongst many others and even managed to climb the top 10 digital download charts.
The original mix of Interviewee sucks you in with a solid groove and big industrial stabs which chug along while a gentle male vocal chant carries your mind through an
enchanting journey.
Jasper Williams, who’s massive album `Opaque Shadows’ was released on Gut Feel Records has added his big room, dance floor hammering touch to create a remix
which accentuates the heavy rhythms and expands on the tension of the original mix.
Mandy’s Song is grand breaks business. With support from Andrew K, J& S Project, Mick Wilson (Parks & Wilson) and plenty others and too has climbed the digital
downloads charts, even reaching number 4 on EDM Digital’s breaks chart. A reviewer (Stephen Clarke) said “Well structured and intelligent, highly emotive, non-commercial breaks with no hint of monotony, tons of energy and maybe, somewhere along the line…a few tears.”

Ryan Sullivan & Simon Kaind – Wardrobe in the Garage
After many years of live performances together in clubs and at festivals all over Southern Africa, Simon Kaind and Ryan Sullivan finally spent some time together, collaborating in the studio. The result is Wardrobe in the Garage, a progressive house piece loaded with live keyboard hooks, deep, warm basses and rock solid rhythm.
“Thanks to the neighbors for the title” said the duo, “welcome to Jozi” they laughed as they continued to explain how the neighbors in Johannesburg dress in their garage downstairs.
On remix duty is Chris Stock and Glen Topping with their friendly progressive house version as well Steve Clarke from The Mary Saga delivering a banging techno mix.
Inspired by mature progressive house, the original mix begins with a rock solid beat and slowly grows into an atmospheric, pulsating bass driven, dance floor shaker. Forever evolving, the song develops a beautiful percussive keyboard hook and breaks down into a large break beat groove, creating tension before releasing into main-room glory. Hook after hook, the track holds you tight until it slowly winds down.
Chris Stock and Glenn Topping’s remix wastes no time, introducing the main hook from the start. Massive drum fills introduce an epic break beat which gently evolves into
a house groove with a solid bass line which will no doubt get dance floors moving. Using all the elements from the original yet still adding a completely different flavor, Chris and Glen have hit the nail on the head.
A banging techno mix from Steve Clarke rounds the release off nicely, adding a harder edge to an already solid package. The rolling grooves, clever use of the original elements and even some added vocals are sure to hold interest. Atmospheric breakdowns accompanied by thundering techno grooves ensure Steve Clarke’s mix
will pound in the clubs.

Proper-Gander – Lament
Lament is the very first release from Kwa-Zulu Natal based dance music artist, Proper-Gander, also known as Karl Wilhelm.
The original mix is a wonderfully crafted, deep and friendly piece of house music with a comfortable and content feeling. Long and dreamy chords hold the track on a solid emotional path while a gentle rhythm keeps the song traveling. The Loco Remix is Karl’s slightly edgier take on the original while the Wholesome Goodness Remix is a sociable progressive house version, using percussive rhythms, congas, bongos, marimbas and a few kind notes to portray Ryan Sullivan’s idea of lamenting.

Proper-Gander – Lament (Wholesome Goodness Remix)
Jasper Williams – Bridge Mode EP
The Bridge Mode EP is an excellent 3 track follow-up EP to Jasper’s debut album, ‘Opaque Shadows’.
Bridge Mode is a chunky progressive house track with a modern feel. A simple yet catchy melody runs through the track and eventually evolves into a giant synth lead…interesting indeed. Dissonance is a wonderful emotional ride with some Eastern influence while Diamond in the Ruff drives a harder hitting punch. Both are two really great tracks taken from Jasper Williams recent ‘Opaque Shadows’ album and combined with Bridge Mode, they form this great 3 track EP receiving plenty of international support.

El Mariachi – Underground Elements EP
A hot EP from Ukranian El Mariachi, this one features two techno tracks with a solid, tripy, outdoor sound.
Underground Mineral is multi-layered, wholesome techno goodness. It’s hard hitting drum groove and pulsating psychedelic bass hammer in right from the start, leaving
no room for a still dance floor. Ever evolving, the song ebbs and flows with interesting rhythms, effects, vocal chirps, builds, sweeps and mind altering melodies.
Astral Pygmies enters deep, dark territory with sparse, solid rhythm. Again El Mariachi flings his attention-grabbing sound effects and rhythmic sequences which swirl around emotive melodies and a ritualistic vocal chant.
Already proven to be outdoor festival and club killers, both Underground Mineral and Astral Pygmies have been abusing Ukrainian and Cape Town dance floors.

Blake Lucid – Ilomini
Blake Lucid introduces himself to the world of Gut Feel with Ilomini. Hailing from South Africa’s playground, Durban, Blake Lucid aka Malcolm Blake is one half of the popular electronica duo called Seake, who perform their unique live shows country wide on a regular basis.
Since the minimal styled Seake remix of Ryan Sullivan’s Way In was released on Perc Trax late in 2008, Malcolm has been buried in the studio but we managed to pull him out for a second to be able to bring you Ilomini…
The original mix of Ilomini is an uplifting prog style song with a deep, memorable and emotional melody boasting plenty of movement to hold interest throughout the song
while the Dark Mix dives a little deeper and harder. More journey, more edge! Loaded with interesting synthetic sounds, the Dark Mix keeps evolving and keeps the floor
shaking.

Jasper Williams – Opaque Shadows (singles)
For Djs, this album consists of all 14 singles from the Opaque Shadows album.Loaded with both chilled out and floor trembling progressive dance music, this album is a sure winner, suitable to be enjoyed any time or place.
Jasper is very well remembered in the South African dance scene for his deep and twisted progressive house Dj sets and his releases on Glo-Tech Africa Records. Although he has been quiet in the dance music scene in recent years, he has still been extremely busy, recording and producing bands like Boo!, Arno Carstens, Chris
Chameleon, Fevertree and plenty more in his Johannesburg based Lapa Studios facility.
After his quiet spell, Jasper Williams has returned with Opaque Shadows, featuring 14 tracks ranging from wonderfully arranged listening music to some pretty heavy dance-floor shaking grooves.
The album invitingly begins with Breathe (signed to John 00 Flemings’ Unfold compilation) and Diamond in the Ruff (Supported by Djs like Ariel Cybana, Deviant,
Marcus Wortley, The Mystic Force & more), both enjoyable journey tracks with solid groove. Little Rock picks the mood up a little with its uplifting feel while Misnomer and Fortissimo remind you that you¿re on a dance-floor. We have a huge pick-me-up moment with Snake and its melodic bite before going back to deeper depths with Jasper’s remix of Ryan Sullivan’s Interviewee which paves the way for some heavy
Propulsion, an edgy track sure to crack the dance-floor in half. Another one of Jasper¿s slick remixes in the form of Ryan Sullivan’s Monday Music along with Facet
offers a hands-in-the-air melodic journey before bringing things down a little with the vocal chants of Dissonance. Ahh! and Scream remain on a solid dancing path as Jasper’s ambient mix of Boo!’s Come settles things down for the chilled-out vocal outro “since you’ve been
gone”.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable emotional journey through sound, typical of Jasper’s Dj sets back in the day…

Ryan Sullivan – Step Up The Game EP
Ryan Sullivan takes a slight turn from his previous moody progressive works to deliver a superb tech infused serving of house music.
Step Up The Game walks through the dance floor with it’s tough drum groove and a solid bass line. Awkward has more of a progressive feel with it’s emotional melody. Although musically simple, this floor friendly EP has proven to be very effective, finding its way into the boxes of many dj’s across the dance music spectrum.

Ryan Sullivan – Awkward
Ryan Sullivan – Need Help
Ryan Sullivan – You Have To Ask Yourself EP
South African deep, tribal, progressive house at its best. Large drum fills, vocal chants, emotional synths and driving tribal rhythms form a peak time progressive house EP. African style.
The Mary Saga – Open Feel
Ryan Sullivan and Steve Clarke have come together to form, The Mary Saga. Although they have struggled to work on projects together in the past, the formation of the duo has lead to them creating something electric. Their sound is an interesting musical fusion, combining elements of all genres of electronic music with the intention of remaining intelligent. ‘Open Feel’ is the result of a live performance in Johannesburg and carries a techno whip along with its uplifting soundscape.
Ryan Sullivan – Take It Back
Loaded with atmosphere, Take it Back is yet another deep, driving piece from Ryan Sullivan, however this time with a more dance-floor friendly groove. The track chugs along its deep journey quite simply, leaving the drums to do their work on the dance-floor.
Ryan Sullivan & Fred De Meillon – Creative Feelings
With ‘Creative Feelings’, Ryan Sullivan (Johannesburg) teams up with Fred De Meillon (Cape Town) to deliver a progressive house piece that marks the sixth release on the ever growing Gut Feel Records label.
Ryan Sullivan has been crafting his skills as a music producer and composer for over 6 years, with numerous labels and DJ’s wanting a piece of his emotion packed electronic pieces. Fred De Meillon on the other hand, is well known and respected as a musician and vocalist in the alternative genre’s in Southern Africa.
Andre Supra (South Africa) and Daniel Guidry (USA) are the team behind the Guidry & Supra sound. These two produce and remix world-class music that has rocked both
dance floors and chilled listeners alike.
The original mix of `Creative Feelings’ is driving progressive house, laced with lush pads and held together by an emotional piano melody while the Guidry & Supra
Herwerk (Afrikaans for remix) is deep and emotional, combining house and breaks to form an interesting hybrid, adding a gentle touch to the release.
