Andre Supra and Fawad Naqvi together form Solid State Stereo. Although both hold their own as solo artists, they have crossed paths and have been together as a band since the year 2000.
The duo are separated by thousands of kilometers, with Andre living in South Africa and Fawad in Canada, but that doesn't seem to stop them from pursuing their passion…creating the music many are learning to love. Combining melodic ambience and textures created in the northern hemisphere with the rhythms and pounding grooves built in the southern hemisphere, Solid State Stereo create a very distinctive sound. Their style ranges from ambient, chill out to deep progressive dance music and yet their music always holds powerful emotion.
Since receiving support from many well established DJ's, Solid State Stereo have seen releases on Glo-Tech Africa Records as well as Gut Feel Records.
With a number of international releases behind them under various guises, Solid State Stereo seem to be headed towards a soaring career. Working under various pseudonyms helps this ground breaking duo avoid confusion amongst their fans and has lead them to work as Solid State Stereo, Sidelife and Quadrata (with Hans Von Burg).
